The first of the SHTA’s Information sessions on the Constitutional changes was held yesterday at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort. During the meeting, SHTA members were informed on the changes within the new Ministry of Healthcare, Social Development & Labor.

Drs. Jorien Wuite, Head of the New Ministry touched on the transitional changes as it relates to the organizational structure, budget and laws. View presentation

Mr. Robert Sonderman, Head of the Inspectorate of Healthcare, Social Development & Labor touched on the tasks and responsibilities that will be covered in this new department. This includes Food safety, Environment, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Social affairs, Labor and Education. View presentation

Lastly, Mr. Raphael Boasman,Head of the Department of Labor, touched briefly on the policy objectives. View presentation
