CRYSTAL PINEAPPLE AWARDS 2012
After 6 years of astounding success, the SHTA Crystal Pineapple Awards are back! Mark your calendars for Friday, November 30, 2012.
The SHTA understands the importance of recognizing individuals in the industry and will therefore continue in its quest to acknowledge the people that make our tourism industry the success that it is.
Who can be nominated?
This event gives you the opportunity to put forward the people you think should really be recognized for their outstanding performance or outstanding contribution to the tourism industry; may it be an excellent employee, an outstanding manager or someone who has really contributed towards tourism.
How are winners selected?
An award committee will be formed comprised of SHTA Executive Board members, who are unable to be nominated. This committee will first select 4 nominees per category, who will all receive a Certificate of Excellence.
In a second selection, when the votes are in and the motivations are rated, the winners will be chosen. Make sure that you thoroughly explain why you think the individual or organization should be nominated.

Annual Fund Raiser – a Black Tie Event
The November 30 event is both an Awards evening as well as SHTA’s Annual Fundraiser. It will be a Black-Tie event of fun and excitement, including a champagne cocktail hour, a wonderful 3-course dinner, SHTA’s famous Silent Auction and entertainment.
How can I order tickets?
Tickets can be ordered at US$150 per person at the SHTA Office. We encourage you to come and join us and make this event one to remember both for your colleagues and your employees. We look forward to seeing you at the 7th Annual SHTA Crystal Pineapple Awards on November 30, 2012!
