The genesis for the Tourism Master Plan (TourMap) was the Multi-Annual Policy Plan 1998-2005 (MAPP) published in 1997. This stated that: “Government will complete a Tourism Action Plan to provide a ten-year tourism management strategy and applicable policy to St. Maarten”.

This, the Final Report & Action Plan for St. Maarten Tourism, is the culmination of months of consultation with the tourism stakeholders of St. Maarten coupled with an intensive process of tourism related data collection and analysis. The result of this process is presented as the Tourism Master Plan.
