Tourism Promotion
A large responsibility of the association is destination marketing since the primary source of revenue for the island is tourism. The SHTA also promotes the importance of tourism to the island.

- CHTA Membership
CHTA membership entitles you to participate in various trade and marketing events, seminars, educational programs and member discounts.
- Visitstmaarten.com Consumer Website
SHTA members are profiled online for free and linked to the official St. Maarten web ring and is bookable online.
- Experience St. Maarten
This official in-room publication of the SHTA, is distributed free to all member
properties. The barter arrangement through HCP includes advertising credits in US newspapers.
- Tradeshow Participation
The SHTA sends delegations to the most important travel trade and consumer events worldwide.
- Marketing Programs
The SHTA marketing programs aim at bringing quality visitors to the island.
- SHTA Travel Agents' Newsletter
A monthly newsletter is sent to the SHTA database of over 4,000 travel professionals profiling SHTA members.
- SAMA
SAMA focuses on marketing and public relations to US based airlines, tour operators and travel agents.
- Little Caribbean Alliance
The LIttle Caribbean Alliance is a private-public sector cooperation between Anguilla, Saba, St. Barths, St. Maarten and St. Martin that aims to promote the North Eastern Caribbean Region.
